Please join Wildwood Elementary in celebrating Red Ribbon Week 2019. This year, Wildwood Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 23-31, 2018. During Red Ribbon Week, young people in communities across the nation pledge to live a drug-free lifestyle by wearing red ribbons and participating in school and community-wide anti-drug events. Red Ribbon Week raises awareness of drug use and the problem related to drugs facing our community and encourages students, parents, educators, and community organizations to promote drug-free lifestyles. Listed below are activities for our students to participate in during Red Ribbon Week.
Theme: “Send A Message!!! Stay Drug Free!!!” Wednesday - 10/23/2019 “Red Ribbon Day” - “Use Your Head, Wear Red!!!” - Students wear as much red as they can!!! Wear red shirts, socks, hair ribbons and bows and accessories (uniform bottoms must be worn). Students will be given red ribbons to wear; Students will sign Red Ribbon Week Pledge during ancillary classes. Thursday - 10/24/2019 “From Head to Toe, I’m Drug Free!!!” - Students wear hats and crazy or mismatched socks to show they don’t mix with drugs from their head to their toes. Friday - 10/25/2019 “Blackout Drugs!” - Students wear black shirts (uniform bottoms must be worn). Monday - 10/28/2019 “Too Bright for Drugs!!!” Students wear neon color shirts (uniform bottoms must be worn). Tuesday - 10/29/2019 “Being Drug Free is My Responsibility!!!” – Students wear green shirts to show their responsibility to staying drug free. Wednesday - 10/30/2019 “I am a JEAN-ius!!!” – Students can wear denim and jeans to school with their school spirit shirt. **School Spirit Sweatshirts can be purchased in the front office** Thursday - 10/31/2019 “Say Boo to Drugs” Wear your book character costume. |
